Ankit Rath is a DPhil candidate in Theology and Religion at the University of Oxford. His research examines ritual, performance, cultural memory and the Danda Nata traditions of Odisha. He is also a writer and book reviewer whose work has appeared in The Asian Age, Deccan Chronicle, Muse India, Indian Literature and the Journal of Comparative Literature and Aesthetics.
